I was commissioned to create ‘Hope’ by a couple who had recently finished a loft conversion in North London. They wanted to add a personal and finishing touch to their bedroom.
I met them at their home and we sat down to discuss what they were looking for. We talked about how they wanted the painting to make them feel, the colours they wanted to focus on I took photographs of the room and the colour scheme, patterns and themes in the room and throughout the house. Once I sourced the colour palette I set to work to create this beautiful piece, which celebrates the meeting of two souls. Building up the layers and texture, creating depth and light with a gold leafing so that when the sunlight hits the painting it adds another dimension to the painting.
